How does ZINCID LACTI work?

ZINCID LACTI is a combination of a large dose of organic acids, butyric acid salts and zinc. Does not contain inorganic acids. The ingredients of the preparation support the regeneration of gastrointestinal structures, which is especially important after infections because it helps reduce production losses. It also supports local immunity of the digestive tract. Butyric acid salts have a beneficial effect on the regeneration processes and the condition of the digestive tract structures. Thanks to their pH-lowering properties, acids have a beneficial effect on the digestive tract of animals, stimulate appetite, support the secretion of enzymes, and therefore have a beneficial effect on the digestion processes and absorption of feed ingredients. Organic acids limit the multiplication of pathogens by disturbing the acid-base balance of their cells, but also create a favorable environment for probiotic bacteria.

I. Birds.

BIG 6 turkey, 20th week of birds’ life, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

II. Symptoms.

In the 20th week of life of the birds, diarrhea and loose, yellowish feaces were observed (Fig. 1), in places with visible elements of undigested feed (approximately 20% of pathological feaces). Mortality in the herd was maintained at physiological levels, with a maximum of four animals per day. No inhibition of weight gain, herd differentiation or decrease in water and feed intake was observed.

VII. Effect.

The first changes of faeces towards physiological were observed on the second day of treatment, the total reduction of diarrhea occurred on the 3rd day of application. No undigested feed was observed in the faeces. No recurrence of diarrhea was observed until the sale of the birds.
